Condition Based Monitoring
Cost Analysis of Different Maintenance Strategies
What if your equipment was always operating at peak efficiency?

What if you could avoid costly downtimes and maintain seamless production?

What if your machinery could proactively notify you of potential failures before they occur?

Common Industrial Maintenance Strategies
There are three basic types of industrial maintenance processes, each with associated costs:

-
Reactive Maintenance: This strategy, also known as run-to-failure, results in the highest total cost of ownership. Unplanned downtime is usually more expensive than planned downtime and often leads to secondary damage to other components.

-
Preventative Maintenance: Here, downtime is scheduled before a failure occurs. While it prevents unplanned downtime, it carries a high cost due to the premature consumption of parts and labor.

-
Predictive or Condition-based Maintenance: Utilizing Tattletale's asset reliability technology, this approach optimizes equipment use. Maintenance is performed only when necessary, without production loss, ensuring cost-efficiency and maximum equipment availability.
